Marc F. Lipkin, DMD, FAGD, FAAID, Diplomate, ABOI

 After receiving his B.A. degree in Sociology from Villanova University in 1976, Dr. Lipkin did post -graduate work at Temple University.  He then attended  the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated  in 1980.   Continuing his education at The University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Lipkin earned a post-graduated degree in Advanced General Dentistry in 1981, and was then appointed a Clinical Associate of Oral Rehabilitation at The University of Pennsylvania where he taught in the post graduate school until 1993.   

Since his days as a student, Dr. Lipkin, has commited himself to continue to learn and share his dental expertise with his patients and other professionals.  In addition to managing his own practice for over 25 years, he is a member of the Medical Staff, Department of Surgery at Grandview Hospital in Sellersville.  He has lectured to local dental study groups on various dental techniques.

A lifelong learner, educator, and innovator, Dr. Lipkin has developed an expertise in full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, and dental implant surgery and restoration. He is certified by Nobel Biocare in Dental Implantology, Invisalign® orthodontics, and has extensive training in periodontics and prosthetic reconstruction through his post graduate studies. 

Dr. Lipkin earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 1997, and has been a member of the professional organization for more than 25 years. Fellows of the AGD must earn a minimum of 500 approved continuing dental education credits and pass a 400-question exam following five years of continuous membership. He is currently on track to become a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD).

After passing a rigurous written examination, Dr. Lipkin was presented to the Board of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and passed his oral examination and case presentation examination, whereby he was granted an Associate Fellowship in this prestigious group joining the ranks of only twenty-three others in the state of Pennsylvania. He was presented a Fellowship in this organization by credentials in 2012 after attaining Diplomate status in the ABOI in 2010. He is also a member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), an international organization dedicated to the advancement of dental implants.  He has earned his Fellowship in this orgainzation and his Mastership in their Implant Prosthodontics section.  The latter award can only be attained by demonstrating proficiency in dental implant placement as well as implant restoration. 

Dr. Lipkin most recently was granted Diplomate status by the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID).  This prestigous organization recognizes dentists for expertise in dental implantology,  both surgically and restoratively. The conference of Diplomate status signifies that the practioner conforms to the  highest standart of care available, as judged by the board.  Dr. Lipkin is one of thirteen dentists in Pennsylvania who have achieved this prestigious designation and less than fivehundred world wide.

Dr. Lipkin has just been recognized as a 2010 and 2012 Philadelphia Magazine TOP DENTIST.  To create their  TOP DENTIST list, Philadelphia Magazine asked thousands of dentists in the region to nominate their peers- those who they thought were the best in their specialty.  Narrowing down the nominations with the help of a hand-selected "Advisory Board", Philadelphia Magazine editors compiled their final list, ultimatly recognizing the TOP DENTISTS in 2010 and again in 2012.  Dr. Lipkin was named by his peers as a TOP DENTIST in the catagory of General, Cosmetic, and Prosthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Lipkin is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Montgomery-Bucks Dental Association, the Philadelphia County Dental Association, and the Suburban Implant Study Club.  He also serves as a dental expert witness for plaintiffs and defendants and has contributed to articles in dental text books and periodicals.  He has recently been appointed a Secondary School Committee admissions interviewer at his alma mater, The University of Pennsylvania.

An avid Philadelphia sports fan Dr. Lipkin's other hobbies include travel, antique and collectable cars, and classic movies. 

Since coming to the Souderton area twenty five years ago, Dr. Lipkin has been a member of the Souderton-Telford Rotary.

Spencer Grossman, DMD

Dr. Grossman is a native of South Brunswick, NJ.  He received his Bachelors degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1998 and continued his education at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2004, he began a General Practice Residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. Upon completion of the residency, Dr. Grossman joined the hospital’s staff as an attending dentist helping to train incoming residents. His main focus has been caring for the members of the community in which he was raised as an associate in a general family practice.

Dr. Grossman is committed to educating his patients and providing them a safe, comfortable, and pleasurable dental experience. He is an active member of the American Dental Association and continues his training through a variety of educational courses.

Craig Appelstein, DMD

Dr. Appelstein is our staff endodontist, highly trained in root canal treatment.  He graduated from Penn State University in 2000 and then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he received his DMD degree in 2004.  Dr. Appelstein continued his education there and was awarded a Specialty Certificate in Endodontics in 2008.  He is an active member of the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists.  He has published several articles in endodontic journals.  He is married and has one daughter.  In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.

Michelle

Michelle Samsel, RDH
Michelle has been with our practice since 2004.  She is a Souderton High School Alumni and graduate of Dental Hygiene at Harcum College in 1999.  Providing comprehensive, quality care is her number one goal in caring for her patients dental health.  Michelle is married and has a daughter.  In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling the Caribbean.

Elisha Dupree, RDH
Elisha graduated from Montgomery County Community College as a member of the National Dental Hygiene Honor Society, Sigma Phi Alpha.  She truly loves being a hygienist and is dedicated to improving her patient’s oral health and overall well being.  Elisha lives with her husband and their two cats. She enjoys music, hiking, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Nancy is our "special" Hygienist.  She fills in for us as needed and is special to all of us for her charm, knowledge, and experience in the dental field.  We are truly luck to have her. 

Peggy

Peg Kurnik, EFDA, CDA
Peggy has been with Indian Valley Dental for 33 years.  She earned an Associates in Science degree from Montgomery County Community College and attended Manor College for completion of her C.D.A. and E.F.D.A. certificates.  She is a member of the Association of Dental Implant Auxilliaries with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.  Peg lives in Lansdale with her husband Bob, and has two daughters and two beautiful granchildren.  She enjoys running with her friends and vacationing in Mexico.  She loves her patient's and takes great pleasure in being an intricate part of a team that provides the best that dentistry has to offer.  "Over the years we have rehabilitated thousands of mouths and I still get a thrill out of seeing the fantastic results."

Chris Gerhart
Chris and her husband of 31 years live in Telford. She has been a dental assistant since 1984.  One of her passions for the last 23 years is Save the Children.  She loves doing the work of a dental assistant and spending time with her family and friends.  Chris loves the beach and when she retires, hopes to live in a seashore community.

Jeneane

Jeneane
Jeneane joined Indian Valley Dental in 2008.  She has been a dental assistant since 2004, and is x-ray certified.  Jeneane is a graduate of both Penridge High School and UBVTS. She lives in Telford with her parents and their cats.  Outside of the office Jeneane has a passion for drag racing and competes regularly on the weekends.  She also loves spending time with her family and friends, shopping and listening to music.

Jacki joined Indian Valley Dental in 2006 and brings eight years of dental experience with her.  Living in Quakertown, Jacki is married and has two daughters and 4 grandchildren.  In her spare time, she enjoys outside activities with a passion for running and competing in races.

Donna joined Indian Valley Dental in March of 2008.  With her, she brought 12 years of experience in the dental field.  Donna recieved her BS degree in Sociology from High Point University in North Carolina.  She is x-ray certified. Donna has been married for over 30 years to her husband  Jim.  They have a son Jared, and a daughter, Jaime, who is married to Ryan.  Donna enjoys working with people, reading, boating with her husband, and spending time with her family.
